RecommendMinus Story follow along the path of Olivia Tremor Control and other Elephant 6 bands with their brand of psychedelic lo-fi rock. They self-proclaim their sound as the "Wall of Crap" giving you an idea of how layered this music is. It is very experimental and Minus Story end up with some annoying tracks amongst some gems. So for those of you who can wade through stuff like "The Happy Activist" which has a nice melody beneath all the noise, to get to a beautiful track like "Gravity Pulls". Sometimes Minus Story can be frustrating but if you take your time, you could easily be rewarded. The musical qualities are often nested in the middle of one big rats nest of sound. It's a little bit of pop with a little bit of Avant-garde thrown in to see if anyone notices. But again, there are indeed some great gems in the midst as well.
