Why is Tall Paul consistently in the Top 5 DJ list in the world? Have a quick listen to the slamming Back and Forth and you will see what it is that keeps people coming out in droves to see his live shows. What Tall Paul delivers with Back and Forth is his first album of original material (it blows me away that DJ’s make so much money on other people’s material). The album opens up with the sweeping “Precious Heart (Lush Remix� with the sample of INXS’ “Never Tear Us Apart� and picks up from there. We get the full on version later on showing that he must be pretty proud of the way he worked the track. When “Go Get It� starts up with the hi-hat styled intro you know you’re in for a ride. Sure enough, this is where the ball starts rolling. The album is fairly predictable with Tall Paul’s signature style that we’ve come to know and love but a great treat is the dub style of “Take It Easy�. If you are like me and feel that DJ’s sometimes have it easy making other people’s music their own, then sit down and give Back and Forth a shot. It proves that Tall Paul has a knack for making his own music too.
