LMNO made his start on the Swollen Members label, Battle Axe with his debut Leave My Name Out. It has been LMNO's dynamic live performance that has gained him the following that he has. Economic Food Chain Music is that ever scary sophomore solo album for the man but remember that he really isn't all that new to the scene. In fact he has been putting albums out with the group called the Visionaries for quite some time. Economic Food Chain Music is an appropriate title for this album. It is a hard hitting album that I had to listen to a couple times to really get into. I think the hardest part for me was to get into LMNO's rapping style. Now that I'm used to it, I really like it. The tracks are fairly tight but I think could use a little tightening up. There are a lot of underground hip hop artists featured on here, a lot that I haven't heard of and some that I have. DJ Romes is one artist that LMNO's utilizes a lot as is KeyKool. Wildchild from Swollen Members is the only one that I recognize other than labelmate DJ Rhettmatic. We need some more tight tracks like "1888". That's probably one of the hardest hitting tracks on the album. "Loud Telepathy" comes close. The first single, "LMNO" is alright but I think a different track could have been used. The sample sounds so familiar that I felt that it was a bit of a cop out. This is a strong album though. There are many highlights and LMNO is able to rock the mic quite easily. He has a different vocal style but it is very cool once you get used to it.
