When most people think of Radiohead, the first thing that pops into their heads is Thom Yorke. Well, behind every great frontman lies a great guitarist and that would be Jonny Greenwood. Jonny is making his solo debut with a soundtrack to a show called Bodysong. Don't really think about Radiohead, even though there are moments that you are reminded of their guitar work ("24 Hour Charleston"). Instead, think more along the soundtrack lines. The album is solely instrumental and ranges from very mellow/almost not even there to some more energetic tracks. To tell you the truth, I don't really think that Bodysong is a great stand alone soundtrack even though there are some very neat instrumentals on it. I think that it would stand up a little better if you had the visuals to go along with it. It is the soundtrack to a British documentary so maybe that might be the lack of inspiration. There are some dreamy and somewhat inspired tracks like the closing "Tehellet" but for the most part I will stick to the Radiohead version of Greenwood.
