I honestly hated Kill Me Tomorrow with the first listen of this album. Utterly despised them. Their trashcan rock was just too angular to get through my thick skull. But, it actually made it through. With enough pulverization their electro-mess of music many people will turn from foes to allies. The album starts out with a track called "The Best Siren Is a Flesh Siren", a cacophony of sound that when in the right mood, could actually invoke dancing. Kill Me Tomorrow remind me of Radio 4 only a lot more abrasive. Maybe along the lines of the Liars. The group is comprised of a husband/wife team, Zack and K8 with Dan thrown into the mix. "Skins Getting Weird" is one of the highlights on The Garbageman and the Prostitute. It is jerky and distorted but the rhythm keeps you going. Some tracks though, I still found annoying at the best of times like "Black Shifties". That song never broke through. I think that this album would work best as single tracks on a mix tape or an iTunes playlist. Kill Me Tomorrow get props for creating some very original music. The album comes with a DVD with 4 videos on it. On a side note, a novel composed of 13 stories corresponding to the album, written and illustrated by Zack and K8 will surface at some point this year.
