RecommendConsafos is a new band from Stefanie Drootin (Bright Eyes). This EP is our introduction to her band and her different sound. I've listened to this EP a few times now and really don't know what to think. There is a charm that holds your interest but the mix on the album sounds completely screwed up. Stefanie's vocals are the key though. Her voice is not the best in the world often off key but the charm is indeed there. The arrangements are left-field but it seems to work. It would be more prevalent if the production was cleaner and more efficient. There are only 5 tracks apparent on Such Is The Way of Things but there are also a couple bonus tracks on here too. Watch for Consafos' debut full-length sometime in 2004. It might be a little more inspired than this EP. I think Stefanie has potential though. Nice cover art.
