Luke and Daniel Brindley have been a big influence on the DC area singer/songwriter arena and have now decided to join forces. This is a similar situation to Canadian group The Cash Brothers and a similar sound to their music. The Brindley Brothers play all songs written by the talented Luke Brindley, which all have a great outlook. I am amazed that no one has picked up on these talented musicians. Their music is a folk/rock hybrid that is really accessible and would lend itself nicely to the radio. There is a great combination of fast and slow tunes to appease the most critical fan. Listen to the Cockburn-esque "Supernova" for a perfect example of music that deserves more attention. It rocks right along with the best of what's on the radio these days. The production on Playing With The Light is good but it could have been tweaked just a little more to give it a little more shine. The Brindley Brothers have been noticed by George Bush and David Letterman. Find out what the fuss is all about by picking this album up.
