This group was one lucky band. Earlier this year they had the opportunity to open for Modest Mouse, a dream gig for so many bands. While Reverie Sound Revue was an unlikely candidate with their heads in the clouds dream pop sound, they found an adoring audience and won over some of the die-hard Modest Mouse fans that were in the crowd. Their EP has been on the Megatunes top 25 charts for months after the show, proving that gigs still sell albums and get your name spread (if you are worthy). This is a band that reminds me a little of the 80s Brit-pop sound, along the lines of the Smiths but a lot happier. Lisa Lobsinger's vocals are amazing. The way she makes her vocals sound so effortless is brilliant. She makes them sound a little like the Cardigans. With the 6 song EP though, as I also felt about their performance, they need to switch it up a little more. The songs seem about the same tempo and don't venture into different territories. The sound that they have though is polished and Dave Alcock at Sundae Sound Studios was able to bring out their sound in a crystal clear form. I have heard rumors that the band has got some major label interest. I think that a label would be fairly successful with this talented band. They are young and have a lot of things going for them.
