Next to Fugazi, I'm thinking that Q and not U is the most interesting band on Dischord. Obviously the folks as Dischord agree with that statement as we see so many little EPs and singles come out for this band. If you haven't heard of Q and not U yet, you need to pay some attention to this forward thinking post-punk band. They build on the standard Dischord sound and make it as accessible as possible without crossing the line. This little CD Single actually contains 2 songs, "X-Polynation" and "Book Of Flags". Both songs are worthy of the "single" status and show this young group moving forward. The songs were recorded once again by Ian MacKaye and Don Zientara. The main purpose of the singles is to have something to embark on a tour with. They are currently on a large tour with Black Eyes, El Guapo, Antelope as well as others. This single is available through Dischord for a mere $4. Pick it up and see what this talented group is up to.
