For someone like me, not a huge Morcheeba fan but appreciate where they are coming from, Parts of the Process is a perfect album. The band has been around providing a lighter toned trip hop than their contemporaries, Tricky, Massive Attack, and Lamb. I always preferred the darker style of trip hop but every time I caught a listen to something from Morcheeba I would seek out the artist performing the song. There have been quite a few Morcheeba songs that I haven't liked either. Couldn't stand the track called "What's Your Name" featuring Big Daddy Kane. It sounds like a Britney Spears track. And the track called "Undress Me Now", while being sultry and seductive, doesn't have the effect that a song like "Otherwise" has on me. Morcheeba has always been a hit and miss with me. Bottom line with Parts of the Process is this - if you like Morcheeba then this compilation will be of value to you. For those that were like me, it's nice to have their really good material all in one place. Ultimately I would have decreased the album to be about 10 songs rather than 18 but this collection is geared to more of the fans than not. It is what it is, a greatest hits collection.
