Gob is bound and determined to get noticed south of the border. They have as much talent, if not more, than that of Blink 182 and some of the bands on Fat Wreck Chords. They have a knack for writing perfect pop/punk tracks that are catchy as hell. The World According To Gob failed to capture enough attention. Their inclusion on last year's Warped Tour didn't seem to do the trick either. Now they are back at it with a brand new and focused album cleverly titled Foot In Mouth Disease. Their music is fast and furious punk/pop music that the kids should flock towards. They have a sense of humor to rival that of NOFX. Their musicianship is tight and their songwriting is bang on. My guess is that Gob needs to look at another avenue to get this music out. It could be the issue that this sound has been done before and people aren't looking for it but you figure when people have skills they usually shine through that. Time will tell if Gob will fall wayside amongst other Canadian punk bands that just haven't been able to crack the market. In the meantime, I'm rocking out to Foot In Mouth Disease.
