Noise Ratchet is a band that we are going to be hearing a lot more from in the near future. In case you missed their debut full-length album, Till We Have Faces, you can find out what all the hype is about with this new self-titled EP. This is a special EP because they are making the jump to Rick Rubin's American Recordings, home to System of a Down and Slayer for their next album. Noise Ratchet is a melodic rock band but has so much heavy qualities to it that you could almost consider them metal. But then they throw out a totally emo track like "Desire" and you don't know what to think. Noise Ratchet is a five-piece, with a double guitar attack making one of the fullest sounds I have heard in a while. They also have elements of a post-grunge sound but again, enough melody to validate where the guys are coming from. If Jets To Brazil were a little heavier they would sound a lot like Noise Ratchet. I'm predicting that their American debut will do very well. Check this out in order to get a feel for Noise Ratchet before they hit the majors. They are top in their field.
