Damone - From The Attic
Damone is a pop-punk band from Massachusetts that sports a female lead singer. Damone's main songwriting force is Dave Pino and all the tracks you will find on From The Attic are written by him. In a couple words, the songs kick ass. Dave really has mastered the art of a catchy pop track and has found an amazing vocalist in Noelle LeBlanc. She has a powerful voice but is able to hit all the notes properly. The production has a bright and sunny sound to it that works amazingly well with these tracks. I'm am brought back to one of the highlights of the 90's, mainly being Veruca Salt; superb songwriting mixed with a sultry and powerful female vocalist. According to the band's bio these songs were pulled from about 80 that Pino had written when his girlfriend dumped him. Whatever works for Damone. With tracks like "Feel Bad Vibe" and the powerful album opener "Frustrated Unnoticed" Damone is bound to get some radio play from From The Attic. If the masses don't grasp on then that's just their bad luck. This is great pop music that should give the band a name for themselves.
