This is the first time I have heard Aereogramme and I am completely impressed. Sleep and Release is one of those albums that you keep finding things to keep you interested. This review is being written on probably the 4-5 listen and I know that there are going to be many more involved. Just when you think you have Aereogramme figured out with their non-intimidating style, they start screaming at you. I think that's only on one or two tracks but all that quietness leads up to an angry burst. Listen to the aggressiveness of "No Really, Everything's Fine". Not much screaming in here but the guitars are super sludgy and heavy. It's on "Wood" where the table saw blade that id adorned on the cover really comes into play. I'm not sure if I like the heavy stuff more than the soft songs but Sleep And Release is a very diverse album and Aereogramme have proven themselves to me.
