Timo Maas - Connected
There is a cool word thrown into Timo Maas’ bio for this album. They state that Timo is indeed the world’s coolest “Decknician. I like that. Timo is indeed a Decknician and a very hot one at that. You may remember last years Music for the Maases in which Timo provided us with a retrospective look at where he came from. Look out because Connected shows where Timo is headed and it sounds awesome. He shows that he was previously just hinting at his capabilities. Timo Maas takes the trance style that people have come to know him for and added pretty much every style imaginable; techno, house, rock (he reworks Placebo’s “Special K and Fatboy Slim’s “Star 69), breakbeats, and much much more. The best thing about Timo is that he never falls into the trance “mold. He doesn’t feel it necessary to start off down and work his way up to a climax. A Timo Maas set will have numerous climax’s and will guarantee to never bore. Another killer track Timo uses here is Delerium’s “Innocente; not just the track but the amazing Deep Dish remix. Timo will most likely go down as the DJ of the Year, if for nothing else this amazing compilation that keeps other dj’s watching what Timo does next.
