More jazz than rock, this new compilation compiles 12 groove laden tracks that just keep going and keep your head bobbin’. Even though the title says “Don’t call us Jambands there really isn’t a better fitting title for these groovy enigmatic bands. There are bands on this compilation that are familiar (Tuatara) but for the most part they are fairly obscure. Or so you might think. These bands are groups that get off on shaking peoples asses every night wherever they might play and in front of any size audience. In fact it was a hardcore jamband fan that made this project a reality, a dream Gina Figliuolo had for quite sometime. She had been one of those people who had been shaking their asses for ages and wanted to share this groove music with other people. So if you are one of the many people out there who hasn’t found any meaningful music for quite sometime you should venture into the Jamband world. It is a world in which you may never come back. Quit your job and hit the road seeking out groove bands such as these and use Don’t Call Us Jambands as your van soundtrack. Ben Ellman from Galactic says “Super-funky like a bowl of chunky gristle soup.
