RecommendWhistler grace us with yet another one of their quiet beautiful and sublime discs. Former EMF member, Ian Dench, has been collaborating with Kerry Shaw for about 5 years now and Faith in the Morning marks their sophomore effort. Faith never really escapes the sound that Whistler have defined on their sef titled debut album. The only difference would be slighty more complex arrangements. Kerry Shaw's quiet voice is partcularly suited to the mellow acoustic guitar of Ian Dench. The album never really grabs you but for some strange reason you are compelled to listen to it over and over (I easily listened to this 10 times before writing this review). Throw into the mix a beatiful viola bit provided by James Topham and you have the complete package.
