Suplecs - Wrestlin' With My Lady Friend
Suplecs has created a sludge metal album that rivals some of the best out there. They take the fuzzed out guitar that bands like Kyuss and Fu Manchu made so popular and played songs that could be mistaken as Lynyrd Skynyrd type jams. Combining slower tracks like the opening "Stalker" with pumping rockers like "155" and then kick into the uber-sludgy "Dope Fu" that is slowed right down to a crawl leads to a great overall listen. Roll a fatty, hop in your Chevy van, and cruise on down to the beach. Their live show would be something I would like to see. Southern boogie rock never sounded this fuzzy.
