The Big Relax was everyone’s introduction to Souldivider, a band that has as much charisma as Superman and as many huge heavy riffs as Fu Manchu. People weren’t ready for this band on a tiny little label called 12th Planet Music. It was a case of “You have to hear it to believe it. Supersound City is their first proper full-length and the band is about ready to increase their charismah and their huge heavy riffs. Their sound is all about fuzzy guitars and head-nodding rhythms topped off with a healthy dose of great vocals. Souldivider works from the classic rock mantra, big guitar riffs that all the kids go home and try to replicate on their cheap guitars. Listen to “A Long Way for a great example of this type of riffing. Jonas Gustafson has an amazing voice that he’s not afraid to show off. He’s got that snarl that really makes for a great stoner vocalist. Even classic rock fans will find something to take home on Supersound City. It’s a great album and with enough exposure, Souldivider should reach the masses soon. The Swedish sure know how to rock hard.
