There is no description less than "Intense" to describe that of Nothingface. Violence is their third album and arguably their best too. Nothingface have a way to inject just enough melody into their hard driving monster tunes. It's as if Alice In Chains cross breeded with Slayer, and that's really not far off. You take a track like "For All The Sin", which isn't the most intense on the album, and in the breakdown right before the chorus there is what sounds like an acoustic guitar. No, these guys ain't pansies; they are killer musicians that aren't afraid to throw in everything they have. At about the 3/4 mark of the song lead singer Matt Holt starts ripping his vocal chords to shreds. The transitions that Nothingface provides on Violence seem as natural as pure honey. It's great to see a heavy band that does't hop on trends like rap metal. These guys rock hard!
