Fuckin’ right man! Fall Silent is really one of the finest hardcore metal bands I have heard in recent years. It all started for me with last year’s compilation Six Years In The Desert and now I have their brand new full-length in my hot little hands entitled Drunken Violence. Chunky and raging guitars with screaming vocals are the order of the day with Fall Silent. Beats me where they came up with the name Fall Silent because there is rarely a moment of anything that can be called silence on the entire album. Quite the contrary. Blistering guitar riffs and hammering drums are what make their way into your ears and before you know what’s come over you your head is nodding furiously. Fall Silent is more about an angry pent up frustration than music. If you had the pleasure of listening to Six Years then you will more than likely be blown away at Drunken Violence. This album is way more agro and metal influenced than Six Years (which was just a collection of rare material). My desire is now to see Fall Silent live. I am guessing that it would be one fucking killer show.
