Dead To Fall is a band that I wouldn’t want to mess with. I’ve never met the guys but the intensity that they have shown on their debut, Everything I Touch Falls To Pieces, is blistering. It sounds like Carcass has gotten in the ring with Earth Crisis and Nasum is refereeing. The end result is one of the heaviest not-from-a-nordic-country slabs of death metal styled hardcore. While music like this can only remain in my stereo for a limited time without me getting a headache, I still enjoy a blistering track like “Graven Image (also found on Victory Style 5) with its guitar acrobatics and equally intense vocals. Dead To Fall bring home a Nordic style metal and fuse it with some of hardcore’s coolest ideals. This is a band to be on the lookout for in the near future. With a debut like this one can only wonder where DTF will go from here. Not for faint-hearted.
