Now, with their name officially changed to COC, the band formerly known (and will probably always be known as) Corrosion Of Conformity comes forth four years after their awesome Wiseblood with a new album. They are also sporting a new label , Iron Maiden's Sanctuary Records. Have they changed much? Actually yes, they have adopted a more southern boogie feel mixed with more rock than metal. Very similar to what Metallica has done but better and more natural. One surprising move is that they have actually included some slow jams such as "Stare To Long" but they keep the boogie feel. Are COC outdated? Not at all! The band continues to change with the times (remember their punk days "Eye for an Eye"?) and retaining relevance. They come to this heavy thing naturally as you can hear on the gutteral feel of "Diablo Blvd.".
