Much has been said about Run DMC and I just want to add to their recognition. This is a group that brought rap to the masses. Yeah sure there was Grandmaster Flash and Sugarhill Gang but they stayed underground. Raising Hell was what mad the group the media darlings that they ended up. Every track is pretty much unforgetful especially "It's Tricky", "My Addidas", and "You Be Illin'". They teamed up with Aerosmith for a cover of "Walk This Way" and if you haven't heard this track you must have been in a hole without any touch to mankind. We can thank Run DMC for influencing other great bands like A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, and more recently Jurassic 5. Thankfully Raising Hell was remastered in 1999 making it crystal clear. The only bad thing that came from this album was a resurgence in Aerosmith's popularity.
