This is a really good introduction to a very interesting band on My Pal God Records. Knodel is up for their sophomore album (their first was on Spongebath) and it is a very creative album. Not knowing whether the next lick is going to come from a guitar or a Casio makes things fun and dangerous at the same time. Knodel is a three piece that takes a Devo style approach to pop music. They implement the same sort of esthetic as Emperor Penguin or Trans Am might use but end up a little more along the pop route. Knodel show some very promising compositions and some very unique arrangements. As you meander in and out of the 11 original Knodel tracks (they also cover one Manowar song) your jaw will slowly drop as you think about the creativity this band possesses. Knodel will seep into the deepest darkest corners of your brain and turn you into a cyborg. Be prepared.
