No, I haven't sold out and started doing mainstream stuff. I just happen to think that Dwight Yoakam is the closest thing mainstream country (if you can even call him that) has to a real original country. He never juices up his stuff with super slick production and this album goes one step further. On dwightyoakamacoustic.net Dwight strips away all his acompaniment and bares his soul. Dwight and his guitar will sooth your soul and restore your faith in todays country artists. Dwight flies through 25 of his past tracks and makes you realize just how timeless his music really is. His biggest influence was Buck Owens and can you ever tell on here. Sorry Shania, you are just to contrived to ever have this much soul. This is the real deal.
