Urge Overkill was one of those sadly overlooked bands of the 90's. Sure, they gained some recognition from their Neil Diamond cover "Girl, You'll be a woman soon" on the Pulp Fiction soundtrack but that song never really touched on this band's brilliance. While they were fairly well accepted in the underground world, they picked up a Geffen deal with the break of alternative music. If any album should have broke them it was Saturation. Just the track "Sister Havana" alone should have got this band a platinum album. I don't know what was missing in the equation here but even when you listen to this album today you sit back and wonder why Urge Overkill wasn't a superband. Saturation was just that, an album that was saturated with potential hits like "Bleed (song 3)" and "Crack Babies". They followed up Saturation with the weaker but still brilliant Exit the Dragon and then called it quits. Urge Overkill was a perfect blend of rock and punk and were able to pull it off in style.
