Mixing up traditional country, surf music and garage rock leads to a band that sounds like the Sadies. They are are very original country rock band that come from Toronto Canada of all places. Somehow incorporating the talents of Steve Albini in the recording studio they have created an amazing sophomore album. The Sadies strive to make country a better music by adding all the elements that make rock so diverse. No reason that these things can't be incorporated into country. Swinging upbeat tracks are mixed with low key murder ballads. Instrumentals with straight ahead surf guitar. The Sadies aim to make a difference and are succeding in their attept. I can't leave without mentioning that the album was mixed on Greg Keelor's (Blue Rodeo) farm.
