RecommendAlthough a few years old now this album has remained a favorite of mine ever since the first listen. It deserves a big mention here. Transistor Sound & Lighting Co. is a duo from Winnipeg, Manitoba created this mini masterpiece of samples and sounds and some of the best guitar and vocal harmonies ever heard in the indie rock world. The reason for this album having a reserved place in my heart is the dynamics and diversity contained withing. Songs creep along, just barely there, only to swell into a cacophonous array of noises and then before you know it your back down to the creeping melody that started the song. The band isn't afraid to try anything or use anything to make music with. I'm not even going to get into their live show that I have been graced with in the past. Do yourself a favour and track this album down; you won't be disappointed. Excuse me, I have to go listen to "Anyways/Mayonaise" again.
