In anticipation of their new full length album, Swell has adorned us with a "mini album" also known as an ep. Feed contains 7 lovely tracks in a style that only Swell could provide. It is also the first recording the band has done since 1998's For All the Beautiful People. Swell are sounding quite a bit like Englands Gomez especially on tracks like "Like Poverty" with the the heavily distorted rhythm guitar providing the backdrop for an beautiful acoustic guitar and the vocalists laid back voice. All of Swells characteristics are here but somehow the tracks seem fresh as if the band have been rejuvinated. I guess that's what a 3 year break will give you. One track, "Someday Always Comes", even sounds like Alice In Chains acoustic Jar of Flies album.
