Swag - Catch-All
What can you say about a group that is made up of a member of one of the most influential alt-country acts (Ken Coomer of Wilco), a bonafide country star (Robert Reynolds of The Mavericks), a staple of classic rock (Tom Petersson from Cheap Trick), and a man with a vision (Jerry Dale McFadden from Sixpence None The Richer)? Sounds like just another alt-country session similar to that of Golden Smog. Think again: Swag provide the viewing public with some of the catchiest 60's era pop rock to be heard in a long time. Catch-All opens with Swag doing a jangly tune called "Lone" (cd contains a Flash animated video created by Swag's own Doug Powell) that is smack in the middle of the Beatles and the Monkees. Swag take all that was good good out of good classic jangle rock and mold it to fit into today's music industry. Recorded in Nashville by production wizard, Brad Jones, the sound is impeccable. Swag's Catch-All is bound to be on many top 10 lists this year.
