Superbees - High Volume
Indeed, another “Super band and this one is a powerful mix of garage rock and pure rock fury. The Superbees are from the streets of Los Angeles and really prove themselves on High Volume. That’s exactly what this album needs for enjoyment, High Volume. Turn it up and rock out. They mix influences like MC5, the Stooges (they always seem to go hand in hand), more recent bands like the White Stripes and Delta 72 with their own guitar style. Acetate records, a newly born label out of Santa Monica has picked this debut up and will most likely be pushing it for all the press possible in this time of garage rock rejuvination. Rock is returning in a big way and Superbees wants their share of the pie. High Volume is a great debut and anyone who likes rock n roll better check this album out. It sounds like they have a killer live show too.
