This little handy dandy ep is a nice treat. It's a project produced by Ken Stringfellow of the Posies fame and from what I can tell the band is mainly from the Colorado area. Chris Barber is the lead vocalist and guitarist and after one listen you can tell that Chris was meant to play power pop. He's got the perfect dynamic voice and his songs jump out at you demanding attention. Especially the title track which should be heard by any power pop fan. A SPIV is a British slang for one who uses their wits to avoid a real job and the guys are trying hard not to have to get a real job.
