RecommendWhen you hang around with the likes of Ramblin' Jack Elliott and Michael Martin Murphy a bit of their country/folk story telling rubs off. This is the history of Ray Wylie Hubbard. As he grew up in Texas he was more into Bob Dylan and Neil Young as opposed to the Texan songwriters he was surrounded by. His songwriting skills are at their peak on this album with all original songs. Backup vocals are let by the talented Patty Griffin. Like the quote on the back of the cover says "take his place alongside such between-the-cracks Lone Star artists as Steve Earle and Joe Ely". Most folk/country fans will enjoy this release.
