For Hot Club of Cowtown's third album they haven't really changed a thing in their mix. I think it's because there really isn't much competition in the old time western swing genre. Closest thing that comes to it would be the retro sounds of Squirrel Nut Zippers but they are more jazz oriented. They have a number of instrumentals featuring the fiddling talents of Elana Fremerman (she is also featured singing on a couple tracks). The rest of the tracks are sung by guitarist Whit Smith. They have recently added a new bass player named Matt Weiner. Their sound is not all that unique but it totally comes across as that in this day and age. They are all amazing musicians wich makes up for the lack of original material on here. Most of the tracks are old standards. Fun stuff.
