Hayseed Dixie is a complete novelty band and takes its digs in here at AC/DC. That's right, you read the "hillbilly" part right in the name of the album. This here band has butchered a diverse catalog of AC/DC tracks like "Dirty Deed Done Dirt Cheap", "You Shook Me All Night Long", "Money Talks" and "T.N.T." just to name a few. If you can't see AC/DC being done hillbilly style then you should venture out and check this album out. Hayseed Dixie actually do a decent job with the metal bands repertoire. On "Hell's Bells" they use what sounds like a service bell for the bell. Check out the "oinks" at the beginning of "T.N.T.". In all honesty, these renditions aren't a far cry from the originals. Substitute the distorted guitars for acoustic guitars and stand up bass, and you have Hayseed Dixie. This album should not be thought of as good music, only a novelty record that you might play at a party to see peoples reactions. The fictional bio just adds to the novelty of it. Something about some country boys finding some vinyl in a deserted truck and only had a 78 RPM record player to listen to them on. Hence the breakneck speed at which Hayseed Dixie plays these songs. The album closes with none other than "Big Balls". Take this album with a sense of humor.
