Originally released in 1982 by Reprise this only live testament of what a powerhouse band Emmylou Harris had backing her for many years. This was to be her first live album ever and she took this time not to redo her most popular live songs but to put together a whole slew of new, carefully chosen covers to do. She chose a few from her former partner, Gram Parsons, ("Return of the Grievous Angel," "Juanita," and "Devil in Disguise," as well as "We'll Sweep out the Ashes (In the Morning)"). Other tracks include Hank Snow's "I'm Movin On" and a medley of Buck Owen's material. She also seems to have a soft spot for Neil Young tracks as she includes "Long may you run". Possibly known as one of the greatest country cover artists she manages to make both traditional country and pop / rock songs into her own. Her voice is still as strong today as it was back on Last Date. Now re-issued on CD (finally) on her own Eminent label she throws in two bonus tracks "Another pot o' tea" and "Maybe Tonight". She remains one of the most daring Women in contemporary music.
