Hangtown - Eleven Reasons
With an amazing debut album under their wings (1999's Here For Now) Hangtown had big aspirations. Luckily Black Dog records caught wind of the album and invited Hangtown to join their roots rock roster for their next album. Due to a few complications the album was delayed but now on the streets. Hangtown's sound isn't all that new though but what they do is play good honest Americana music. The four members follow leader Ted Lukas who used to play with Tampa pop legends, Barely Pink, and add more of the country feel into their music. You can't help but admire their clean songwriting and consistant delivery on both fast and slow tracks. These guys can rock it when needed but, in the same breath, they have no problem holding back for the ballads.
