Maybe I'm a little bias for this band because they're from the same small town as my family in Northern Ireland... but this album is incredible! One of the best (if not the best) of 2012 for sure!

I was a little concerned that the boys from Bangor may fall under the curse of the strong-debut-album. You know, when a band starts too quickly out of the gate and can't live up to their original success. Well thankfully this wasn't the case here. Tourist History was great and had so many catchy tunes, but the follow up, Beacon, is even stronger and fuller. The band really seems to be finding their way and going for everything they are capable of.

Not only is every song devilishly catchy, but it makes you just want to dance, no matter where you are. Solid vocals supported by catchy guitar and synth riffs make each track a real pleasure.

Whether you're a fan of rock, pop or electronic, everyone should give this album a good listen through. Its hard to even pick out must hear tracks, but if I must theyd be: "Sleep Alone", "Sun", "Handshake", "Wake Up" and "The World is Watching".
