Hey, i'm Zack. I am the singer and backup guitar player for The English Exchange. I also did most of the song writing and recording. This album is truly a dream come true. We wrote and recorded all of the songs all ourselves with our own gear in just 3 short months. I really wish we had more time. Unfortunately, Jamie, our drummer, is a foreign exchange student from Manchester, England. I move to Chicago in the summer and Armand (lead guitar) and Patrick (bass) live in Kentucky.

We plan on finding a new drummer as soon as we get back in school.

All credit goes to my friends. these guys are what took this EP to a whole new level. I could have never done it alone.

Get it Right was written on classical guitar (basically the last song on the EP without drums). Its a story about how I've always doubted myself. Ive doubted my choices, my music, even little things like putting my name on a test after i've turned it in.
"they make it look easy, though its taken years to perfect the motion and strengthen the mind. well still you may never get it right" is probably one of my favorite lines in this song. i'm referring to the times in my childhood where i practiced sports over and over and over again. I never seemed to improve or even get better. This frustrated me beyond belief, and i'm sure i'm not the only one. One jam session, before we even knew if we wanted to form a band, i played it for these guys. They all fell in love with it and wanted to help me make it into a more rockish song. The very next time i played it these guys had already picked up the gist and really took the song to a whole new level.
here is a video of us still working it out. This is a great taste of what it feels like to be with us when we play it live.

and our first song was born.

Please enjoy this FREE EP and share with your friends.
I really believe it has something for everyone. Whoever wants some real rock with purpose, check it out. You wont be disappointed.
