Mos Def - Black On Both Sides
Mos Def is most definitely one of the most promising artists bringing hip-hop back to the masses. His style is probably the smoothest I have heard in a long time, maybe even ever. He has been blessed with a talent and is not afraid to use it. He is mot afraid to throw everything into the mix too. Punk, pop, soul are all heard somewhere on Black. A few guests can be heard on here too like Busta Rhymes, Q-Tip, and Talib Kweli. If you have lost faith in what a pleasure a good hip hop album can give then you need Mos Def to reaffirm.
