Everyone knows Mos Def now. If you are unaware, he is from a group called Blackstar. Now is the time for the other half of Blackstar to make his splash, Talib Kweli. He has admired and respected DJ Hi-Tek since their encounter in 1994 and jumped at a chance to work with the Cincinnati hip hop artist. Among others, Talib and Hi-Tek call on friends De La Soul, Xzibit, Les Nubians, Mos Def, and Kool G Rap to lend a hand. The rapping on here is smooth like butta and the tracks used are jazzy in parts like "Africa Dream". The two have also managed to provoke some thought (hence the Train of Thought moniker) about political values and basic social conscienceness. One of this years finest hip hop releases to hit the street. Hip Hop is breathing new life and Talib and Hi-Tek have no problem fitting in with the best of them.
