Krs-One - The Mix Tape
The main reason that KRS-One release this mini-album so quickly after his Spiritual Minded album was that it was a backlash against some nasty words that Nelly had spoken about him. The lead off track entitled “Ova Here is what it’s all about. It goes something like this: “Yo Nelly! You ain't Fo'Reel and you ain't Universal. Your whole style sounds like a NSYNC commercial with the chorus “The real hip hop is ova Here! And you know what, the rest of the album isn’t half bad either. The style that we’ve come to known and love of KRS-One’s in your face rhymes are all over The Mix Tape. The reggae tinged “Stop It is very cool as is the smoother “Down The Charts. He promises on the cover that his new album Kristyle will still be released next year. KRS-One ain’t going nowhere.
