My God, this takes me back. I hadnt heard this in ages and then, suddenly, it popped up on Absolute Radio (the only radio station in the UK that is half worth listening to). And then I remembered. Somewhere amid the vaults of my old 45's was "Hollywood Nights". This was one of those rock staples back in the late seventies. Now my copy says this was released in 1978, but I am sure it surfaced earlier. Still, worth it for the memories. This is a song to drive around town with after dark for it conveys that atmosphere with it.
Bob Seger was someone whose work I never much explored. Other than this single, I have nothing by him. Perhaps I should aim to put that right.
