Cant say I was ever a fan of Elvis's LA days, but if I had to pick one song from that era which I enjoy it would be "Suspicious Minds". Elvis the bloated was not how I would wish to remember him. This song was one of those which I ignored for a long time, but hell in the end you have to give in, don't you. A singalong sort of song with some real emotion in Elvis's voice and some great backing vocals and arrangement. Just goes to show, even when the old dog was crooning to the biddies away from the gaming tables, he still could pack a punch when he really needed to.
