I remember vividly having this track stick in my head for a good month prior to it fading from memory. Whenever I've heard it since, it brings a rush of that nostalgia Charles refers to, and then fades back into the ether. There wasn't enough substance for sure and, more to the point, nothing else he did at the time compared to this above-average track.

Talk about one hit wonders, the son of jazz musician Don Cherry started off his own musical career in promising fashion with this catchy little number and then it all just faded away. The problem is that this acoustic rock number was long on melody and short on substance in almost every other department. As a result, it has not aged at all well. It is solid, almost formulaic nineties pop rock which has a certain nostalgia appeal but beyond that is not really up to much. When it crosses my path I enjoy it, but I doubt it will ever get extended play on rotation.
