"Disney" was the last thing issued by Brighter as the band split shortly afterwards. Almost prophetically, this five-track EP has a song called "End" on it. Brighter were, as a rule, far too mournful and morose for my taste. Now, don't get me wrong, I like some melancholy in my music as much as the next guy, but Brighter took it too far in my opinion. Most of the time I shied away from their stuff, but what made the difference with this EP was the song "Killjoy". More up-tempo and brighter than most of their songs, "Killjoy" was a fairly radical departure from the norm for Brighter. Had they done more stuff like this I might have found them more appealing. As it is, "Killjoy" is the opener and the best track by far on the EP. Had the band released "Killjoy" as a single I might have given this an eight or even a nine, but the remaining four tracks rather drag down the overall rating.
