The Shrinking Violets were an Australian jangle pop outfit who had some localised success in their native land, but barely scratched the surface elsewhere. Their existence was brief, marked by a solitary EP and one single, " Everything" , backed by " She Said" . In fact, the B-Side is a better song, and has some catchy hooks and smart lyrics. A very likeable song, yet it was never enough to bring the band any lasting fame or to ride the backs of the principal Australian jangle poppers, the Go-Betweens. "She Said " has surfaced on a couple of compilations since its original release, but is now almost impossible to find.
