Boston indie rockers Big Dipper have come up with a marvellous jangle pop single with " All Going out Together" . Whether this was intentional or not I dont know, but the timing of its release suggests it was not co-incidental. Released on the indie Homestead label, before the band signed up to a major label, "All Going out Together " fairly bounces along. It brings a definite New England slant to jangle pop and is strangely reminiscent of bands like the Del Fuegos, who also emerged from Boston around the same time.
American or not, the band suffered the same fate as many British jangle poppers - to be forgotten. Still, unbelievably, the track has resurfaced on the "Rock Band" video game series so you can all bounce along to it on your Xbox, Wii or Play Station.
