Shecky Forme is one of those bands that is not afraid to try anything. They have been on the scene in Calgary, AB for 3+ years and have finally harnessed enough time and energy to put out a full length album. Shecky welcome pretty much any influence be it jazz or experimental pop so it makes for quite a mix of sounds. On 002 the band begins the album with "You'll need a telescope" which is a pop fusion song that features some pretty amazing vocal harmonies. "Handle Like Eggs" starts of almost gospelly and then it takes off into the netherworld of noise experiments, not unlike a Mr. Bungle excursion. 002 features an array of different styles and as much as they probably hate the term, they are a true post-rock band that is not afraid to try new things. Watch for their live show.
